Growing up in a Christian home, there never seemed to be a time when I wasn’t aware of who Christ was. Throughout my childhood, I was reminded by others of the time that I asked Jesus to be my Savior when I was six years old. However, I did not remember making this decision. When I was 13 at a winter Bible camp, the Holy Spirit convicted me that I needed to know for sure I was saved, and stop basing such an important decision on someone else’s memory. After asking Jesus into my heart, I felt such a peace. Finally, I was 100% sure that I was saved! Throughout the years, I have always known that Christ was a part of my life, and being able to turn to Him for everything- decisions in life, heartaches, happiness- is such a joy and comfort. It has been a blessing to serve God in various areas, and now as Children’s Director and Awana’s Commander, through the Lord’s intervention, my goal is to help children learn more about God.
