what we believe

We believe first and foremost God is sovereign. By sovereign we mean he is the creator of all things and he has a right to do with all things as he pleases. In so doing he also has a right to be worshiped for being creator alone.

We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God. It is without error and it is the authority on which we base our faith and lifestyle. It is the book by which we shall be judged.

We believe that God is one and only one living and true God. He reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.

We believe that man was created by the special act of God, in His own image, and is the crowning work of His creation. Man was created innocent of sin and was endowed with by his creator with freedom of choice. By man's free choice man sinned against God and brought sin upon humanity.

We believe Jesus died on the cross and shed His blood for our sins. That on the third day He arose from the grave and for forty days walked on earth teaching about the Kingdom of God. He then ascended into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God the Father making intercession for His children (believers).

We believe that Jesus is coming again in like manner as he left.

We believe that salvation is found only by placing our faith in Jesus. That he has paid our debt and set us free.

We believe salvation involves the redemption of the whole man, and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, who by His own blood obtained eternal redemption for the believer.

We believe in the security of the believer - we are saved by grace not by our doings.

We believe that water baptism is a symbol of the cleansing power of the blood of Christ and a testimony to our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Being buried with Him in likeness; raised to walk in a newness of life.

We believe in partaking of the Lord's Table or Communion, as an act of remembering what the Lord Jesus did for us on the cross, and that we take of it thus looking forward to His appearing.

We believe that every believer should be in a growing relationship with Jesus. By growing it is meant to obey God's Word, yield ourselves to the Holy Spirit's guidance, and being conformed to the image of Christ.

We believe as children of God, we are overcomers and more than conquerors and God intends for each of us to experience a New Beginning in life so that we can live for Him.
